Gwydion Theatre Company

Welcome to Gwydion Theatre Company

At Gwydion Theatre Company, our mission is to create a platform for young emerging artists in the Chicago community. We are a group of tenacious post-grads looking to facilitate the careers of the next generation of theater. By providing a platform for underrepresented voices, we aim to amplify their stories and lived experiences, challenging preconceived notions and cultivating a more inclusive society.

Discover Our Vision
and Mission

Gwydion Theatre Company is committed to the belief that every individual deserves equal opportunities, respect, and dignity, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, or any aspect of their identity. Through our artistic endeavors, we seek to raise awareness about the complex issues surrounding discrimination, exposing the often-unseen realities faced by marginalized communities.

We actively collaborate with local artists, activists, and community organizations to ensure that our work is inclusive, representative, and responsive to the needs of our diverse community. By providing a platform for underrepresented voices, we aim to amplify their stories and lived experiences, challenging preconceived notions and cultivating a more inclusive society.

Through exhibitions, performances, and public installations we strive to create a safe and thought-provoking space for artistic expression, encouraging artists to explore the boundaries of their creativity and push the limits of societal norms by sparking critical conversations. By confronting uncomfortable truths, we invite viewers to question their own biases, stereotypes, and complicity.
